I’m a chronic ellipsis-abuser…

ellipsis

…And I really don’t know where it came from or why I do it. Well I do know why I do it… For effect… A sarcastic pause, an emoji for a deadpan stare or just a break in the text to give the reader time to allow the magnitude of what I’d written to sink in… Yeah I know right, I’m full of it but what makes it worse is that I’m not even sure if I’m using ellipses correctly and this, apparently, has the power to annoy the parenthesis out of those who have a true grasp of grammatical correctness.  And/but even if by chance I am being ellipsis compliant my chronic overuse would surely be diluting the effect. Well anyway, welcome to my new blog page, (The old one died a slow painful death), where once again I’ll start out with great intentions of regular and entertaining posts only see this page slowly fade into the ether as I get distracted by other half-arsed projects.

Cheers, Jack…
